FEBRUARY ADVANCED PEER PARENT TRAINING

In February, we are moving on to Chapter 2 of the new STEP program.  As a reminder, each month I will be training on a different chapter in the new manual.  I strongly recommend and encourage each of you to attend these trainings.

Also, I will be updating everyone on important changes that are going to take place with both the Peer Parenting Program and the Strengthening Families Program!!!  Again, please make it a priority to attend this training.

Chapter Two, STEP

When:  Thursday, February 21, 2013; 5:30 - 7:30 p.m.

Where:  Provo Regional Center, DCFS Office, 5th Floor, 150 E Center Street

This will be a potluck, so please bring something to share!

As always, please plan on meeting in the lobby at 5:15 p.m., so I can get everyone up the elevators, as they are locked at 

5:00 p.m.

JANUARY ADVANCED PEER PARENT TRAINING

Thank you to all who came to the January training.  The STEP program was introduced and I trained on Chapter 1.  There was a lot of information given in a small amount of time.  I would suggest that those who were not in attendence read through the handout:

Next month, we will be training on Chapter 2.  Please plan on attending each month.  We will meet the 3rd Thursday of the month at 5:30 p.m. in the Provo DCFS office.

KATHLEEN GORDON'S RETIREMENT

Kathleen Gordon is retiring from Orem City as a dispatcher after 25-years of service.  Please join Kathleen and her husband, Kevin, in celebrating her years of service at a reception in her honor on Thursday, December 13, 2012 from 12 p.m. - 2 p.m. at the Orem Department of Public Safety Training Room, 95 E Center Street, Orem, Utah.  Luncheon will be served at 12:00 p.m.

SEPTEMBER 2012 ADVANCED TRAINING

Thank you to all of those came to the September Advanced Peer Parent Training, we had  a great turn out.

NOVEMBER ADVANCED PEER PARENT TRAINING

Please mark your calendar's for the

November Advanced Peer Parent Training!!!

It will be held on Thursday, November 8, 2012 @ 5:30 p.m. at 150 E Center Street, 5th Floor, Provo.

We will have LuJean Marshall, from Utah Valley University's Turning Point Program come speak to us about anger management.  You may have attended her previous training so please come for round two!!

Please remember to arrive at 5:15 sharp, so I can let you in the building and up the elevator.  Also remember that we will have a potluck, so please bring a treat to share!!
